We're Hiring!
Customer Success & QA
2017 has been an amazing year for our company. Exponential growth in subscription numbers and visitors to our homepage. A raft of great new customers have come on board: CBC, Emory University, Warner Music, Adweek, CBRE, Goal.com, the Canadian Red Cross and various parts of the UN, to name just a few.
In a world where so much of the information we come into contact with is shallow, insignificant and, frankly, unhealthy, it's truly heartening to see some of the world's best known organizations leading the charge on storytelling that makes a difference.
But this fast-growing interest in high-end web publishing means our team at Shorthand needs help! We need you!
So, we're creating two new positions at Shorthand beginning in January 2018: Customer Success Engineer and Quality Assurance Analyst. Remember that we're a remote team, so while we might have some timezone preferences for these roles, successful candidates will have the freedom to work from where they choose.
Customer Success Engineer
This role is geared to helping our customers achieve as much as possible with Shorthand, and to guiding them onto the plans that best meet their needs. The role also has a customer support aspect, which entails helping customers resolve any day-to-day issues they might be facing. Ideally we're looking for someone in New York City to fill this role, but anywhere on the US east coast will also be considered.
Apply for this role on Angel List.
Quality Assurance Analyst
We like to say Shorthand is "Beautifully Simple". To keep it that way, and to maintain our high product quality standards, we're creating this dedicated QA role. The main function of this role will be to create and execute a human, exploratory testing plan. Some customer support responsibilities will also be part of this role. The successful candidate will work closely with our development team.
Apply for this role on Angel List.
About the Shorthand Team
We're a small band of intensely product- and customer-focused designers, software engineers, computer scientists, and, yes, storytellers. Some of us have a sense of humor. One quarter of us have PhDs (don't hold that against us!). Sometimes we don't bother changing out of pajamas (or, pyjamas, depending on where you live); remote work definitely has its perks! But all of us are dedicated to the cause of building the world's best professional storytelling tool and making it better every day. Our passion for that cause is so intense that our customers can feel it in our product, in our on-boarding and day-to-day support, and it breeds confidence in our company and what we do. We'd love to hear from you if we sound like the kind of team you want to join.
Please share this post with anyone you know who might be looking for a fun new adventure as part of a small team that's doing great things.
